The call was on my landline phone the name listed as Emory number 686-4918. Caller could barely speak English. Tried to get me to go to a site ( Zoho Assist) where I would receive a refund for a canceled service. She wanted me to down load a file. I refused. and she hung up.

Called my house looking for my sister in law, left message saying she had 2 hours to call back or would be served with papers, no idea what this is about
Just had a call for my husband with same message, that they would serve papers to his work, which is funny since he is disabled...don't know who it is, have read about these types of scams.
Those that posted, anything actually happened with these jokers? The fact that they use threatening methods is completely ILLEGAL!
I received a call from them today, threatening to serve me papers at my place of employment or my home. They left the number 1-888-686-4918 to call if I have any questions or if I wanted to talk over this matter before I am served papers. They also stated that this will be noted as my final warning. I live in Washington. I did have some online payday loans from lenders that I found out later are not licensed to do business in WA, and thats I'm thinking this may be from. I'm also behind on a couple other bills, but I do not know if they would go to these steps to pursue me. Anyone know who this is from?

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
