Elon Financial called my house looking for my daughter. Got another phone call today now looking for my husband. They wanted my credit card number. Asked why they are asking for my daughter. They hung up. Called again, again wanted my 16 digit care number. Said we owe $30. Told them we have no account with them. They hung up.

This number called me and asked for my personal info to verify but the refused to disclose the name or nature of the company. I thought it was fishy and asked for a supervisor he said the same thing so I politely told them I wouldn't and then hung up unfortunately I had given more info than I intended to before I figured something was wrong. Hopefully I stopped soon enough.

I experienced the same thing this morning.A message was left on my office general number stating that I was to call 1-888-690-2848 and that it is was related to Card Services on one of my accounts. They were asking for me to verify personal information. I asked for more information as to the details of this call and she stated she would only give me more information once I have verified my information. I refused to give any details and she hung up. SCAM Be aware. A honest company would never withold information and then hang-up on it;s customer.

Called my workplace and left a message saying they were with US Bank and it was about my credit card. I called back the next day before breakfast and without even thinking gave them my name and Social. The only thing surprising was they wanted to settle my credit card balance - which should have been zero - and that's what raised the flag. But it also put me into a panic; I want to be a responsible person who pays their cards on time. So my first reaction was to pay my credit card - not realize it was a fraudster. :(

to clarify, they started by saying they were with US Bank

A recorded message said they were some financial group and asked me to input the last 4 of my social security number. 3rd time they've called.

They wanted personal information. Said they represented credit card companies. Said they were not telemarketers. The lady would not give me the name of the company she worked for. When asked she said "we represent many companies and I need the rest of your info to answer that" When I said "what company do you work for, who is the 'we' in your statement", she just repeated she needed my info to tell me which company it was. Would not tell me what the call was about or who it was from or anything without my personal info.

This number called my work, said I had an urgent message. I called the number back and the women said she was with Card Member services and immediately began asking for personal information. When I wouldn't answer her questions and asked who she was and what this matter what regarding she got really defensive and hung up on me.

I got a voice message saying they were from Elon Financial, asking me to return the call. I had a feeling it is a scam as I have never heard of this company before. Thanks to the posts here, I am not calling them back. I wished these scammers would put their time to better use that is not harmful to people!!

A recorded voice called my cellphone and said that if I was (my name) to press 1, if not to press 2. I hung up.
