I just received a call from this number stating that I'd won a free cruise. I hung up as soon as I realized the number was not someone I knew from back home.
My rule is simpler. Disregard validity and effectiveness of any do not call registry. They are worth less than the post toilet material we use. Do not answer! Do not engage! Swipe left! Reject that call! Rely on your contact list! Forward all landline calls to cell if you can, it will be a lot easier to see and answer legit calls. Get and use blocking apps or devices. The only caveat with them is vigilance, you have to keep adding numbers because the supply of numbers for crooks and scammers to spoof is infinite. However once,added you won't know they call unless you check a log.
I use a call block app in concert with the built in feature on my cell. These scammers get one shot, never answered, of course then immediately added to both lists. I never see that number again unless I look for it. I have the ability to have my landline calls forwarded to cell and apply the same principles. If I am home, I will hear the landline blip telling me to be alert, if it is someone on my contact list I answer. If it is a new scammer, I swipe left, reject call then add to block lists. If it's a blocked number I don't hear or see anything and I go back to what I was doing.

Has anybody been tempted to give these creeps previously discontinued cards with completely invalid numbers? You know just as real as the calls themselves. Just wondering. I haven't.
Would like someone or the FCC to look into this and take appropriate action. I receive a call from this number at least once a week on my work phone. They have now begun to call my home phone as well.
I received a call from this number and I didn't answer as well , and could not call the number back as well just a Verizon message like the other people.

Continually spams me
Claims to be from MnDOT wouldn't leave a voicemail when called the main line. Called the next day and claims to be a guy named Gavin wanting to update information. Phone number is from Pennsylvania CLEARLY NOT FROM MNDOT.
Message says Wellstar, but the toll free number they leave is not Wellstar #. Automated voice requests your date of birth to start. Seem like scam.
Debt collector calling asking me how to contact my sister! Told him it was illegal to call relatives. Which it is!

I called 911, and then had dialled 311 and was waiting when this number phoned. I answered, but said nothing. They said nothing. I hung up. They called back and I could hear breathing, and perhaps walking. I've blocked the number.
