Just happened to me too. I Posted on Craig's list indianapolis, in. Same Seth guy ...same story!
Arlington TX, just received offer for Vette via gmail from "Seth" military base AZ, purchase vehicle for Dad, requested paypal payment, but wanted me to pay shipper for him, this would put me in jeopardy if deliver issues occur. Now I can't open his original email which BTW originally was sent to Spam by yahoo. He says he will make full payment if I complete the payment for him using Walmart transfer. "What is the scam", and how do they make a buck, have they phished or hacked my email?
Autotrader scammer. Texts message saying he wants to buy our car sight unseen using PayPal. Says he's in the military & can't call directly because his base in Arizona is on lockdown. Identical scam is coming in from 347-978-7236 - check that feed out.
Still going. Mass text to a bunch of folks was the first clue. This one included an email address, no details.
Absolute Autotrader scammer. This one texts an email for gomezwilsonn13@gmail.com. Identical message comes from 609-467-4486 and forwards email from sgtbruce121@gmail.com. They now want to pay by paypal and of course arrange the shipper, buying for his Dad, etc. In the Military can't call. Run away from this.
