I found it creepy.. apparently they are wide spread of trying to rip ppl off. I was also surprised at all the notes regarding this spanish speaking call
Got the call today from that number!!! Didn't have a clue who it was and hung up immediately. My cell number is on the don't call list as well.
I just got called by this number.I did a reverse lookup online and found that it is a proxy number - in otherwords the phone number is one of many that is held by a company based in 1 of the following locations...NE Wisconsin: Appleton, Green Bay, Sheboygan, Fond du Lac (from Beaver Dam NE to Oshkosh, Appleton, and Door County; part of what used to be 414).That company has signed telemarketers such as Air Canada, Frieda Casas y Vacaciones in Mexico and a host of others that dial into the exchange for that company, and that company dials out from their generic lines, making it basically impossible to backtrack to the true origin number of the call.SPAM SPAM SPAM that is all it is.On my iPhone, I simply add a contact with the first name of SPAM, and last name of Caller, each time this happens, and assign a silent ringtone. :) Hope this helps you people, especially that young 17 yr old lady - don't let that freak you out !!!Oh, and I am an actor in the movie which is my username, which will be released in the US in 2011. IMDB it !!! :)
Husband just got a call from this #920-999-2928. Went online and checked out that it did come from a Wisconsin area. Decided not to pay the $ for further information and then came across this site so decided like everyone else it was a scam number.
I've been getting calls from this number for the past few months. I just got two in a row. It is a recording of a young woman speaking spanish - same as everyone else.She says "Congratulations" then some other stuff.
I received a call vfor this number 1-920-999-2928 to my cell the person spoke in a foreign laguage and she didn't respond to me at all
