OMG...This horrible person has been chatting with my best friend online for 3 months. She met him on an dating site that I encouraged her to go on. He was one of her first contacts. He told her he lived in Halifax (this phone number is from New York). He has been professing his undying love and desire to start a relationship. Texting her multiple times daily, saying all the right things. Pretending to make arrangements to come to Canada to meet her. He has been claiming to be in Germany now for work at some important government job...OMG. A couple months back he asked her to send a $ 50 phone card with some weird story about how he needed a $50 card and could only get a $15 card for some technical reason. Then sent her back the $15 card as an act of good faith. This calmed her suspicions. Made her trust it was legitimate Then finally this week came the big ask! $7,000 Canadian because he has had some big issue with his contract and his bank account has been frozen with $50,000 in it. Blah blah. If she can help him now he will by her a car...Frigg! Those of us who love her have been concerned the whole time but hoped for the very best, because she is SO KIND AND BEAUTIFUL AND LOVING. She deserved something special and no one wanted to rain on it. But this latest request led me to check out his phone number and find its a New York number, not Halifax. Then further surfing led me to this site.....and bam !!! There it is! How cruel and horrible. I am so sad to have to tell her this. But grateful she will now before wasting another breath on this piece of human garbage, whoever he or she is ! The world is a sad place. This person is extremely well spoken, well organized and manipulative... He/she is an online dating site predator.... WATCH OUT!!!!
