As soon as the guy said he was from Home Center and asked if I had any plans for home projects, I told him No and hung up.

I blocked this number on my landline back in September, but the caller just tried my cell phone. He seems now to be using the techniques of "ringless vocemail" because I don't hear a ringtone at all -- just the chime of a new VM announcement. When I check the VM, it is one second in length and has no content. I don't know what the game is here, because the whole point of ringless voicemail is to get past a list of blocked numbers to go straight to the recording feature in hopes the phone owner will listen to that. There is no call noted in the incoming list, so there is no one-button blocking ability. The only call record is the empty entry in the VM list. I guess if you want to block this number, you have to type it in manually.

Another call from scammers "Home Solution Center"...they tweak the name of their "business" changing it slightly everytime they call. They complete idiots and will call and call and call. I'd never trust them to be who they say they are and I'd never use any business who cold calls to advertise themselves and look to "customers/SUCKERS". BLOCKED! REPORTED!

There is absolutely no way I'd ever allow a cold calling "contractor" or any of his/her Prop 47 "employees" on my property or in my home.

This number calls me daily. Number is now blocked. Location on Caller ID changes with each call. Best not to answer when this number calls.

They just happen to have a contractor in my neighborhood. Sure they do, and I have a bridge over to Hawaii I'll sell - cheap.

Just got a call from (949) 407-8496. Man claiming to be a contractor in Laguna Niguel and has been in the home improvement business for over 27 years and wants to know if we needed any home projects done. I told him he was a SCAMMER and hung up. Beware, people, that many of these calling scammers who preach that they work in home improvement are most likely ex-cons and criminals, wanting to case your home and rob you. Call them out for what they are - SCAMMERS - and hang up on them.

There is no "Home Center". These people call all the time and lie about having a contractor in your neighborhood or make up some other story about long time business in your town - except they aren't in the yellow pages and have no business license or fictitious DBA. They won't provide a contractor # either.

Well, I’ve gotten calls for the past year now about a person named Kenneth ward, they call from various numbers and I’ve asked to be taken off the list multiple times, I’d say they’ve called me at least 50 times in the last year. Sometimes I get so bored I prank them, harmless but sometimes very annoying I’d like it to stop.
