PR AND ASSOCIATES - WAYNE - CALLED ME FROM 716-210-6206 WHO IS HE WHAT DOES HE WANT HOW DO I GET HIM TO STOP CALLING ME?
Hey All,I got like 2 or 3 calls from these people and they were asking for somebody named Eric Gilmore. I have never known nor do I presently know anyone by that name, yet low and behold, they're calling my phone to get a hold of him. The weird thing is that I've had this phone for way longer than they said they had his name "on file". In other words, how could it be this guy Eric's number that they say they've had on file for a supposed 2 years, when I've had the same phone number for the past 5 or 6 years? Sense, this makes none.
Received rude voice mail states he has left several messages (untrue) and it is important that I contact him today at 951-719-8560. Called back placed on hold for 6 minutes then call answered by a Susan who states they are trying to get ahold of the man who used to live at my address 5 years ago. I said are you serious cause I'm pretty sure he didn't have the same phone number as I do. She said she would take my number off the list but not more than 3 minutes after I hung up the phone rang again from the same number.
Just returned home to find a message of an aggitated sounded man, (didn't give his name, or say the name of the person he was looking for, but did state it was PR and Associates) saying that they have been trying to get a hold of (whoever) and have left several messages (which isn't true) and that we (whoever) needed to call them back by the end of the business day. I received a similar phone call from an unknown company (they didn't state what company) saying the same thing. When I googled THAT number I was brought to this site as well, or one like it. So I did the same with this one suspecting it was the same people and sure enough here I am. I have yet to have the pleasure of talking to them myself as they just leave nasty messages on my voicemail, but if they are the same which I strongly suspect they are, I hope they don't call back.
Hi all! They are debt collectors that have bought your debt (or someone that you know). PR Associates43280 Business Park Blvd #101 Temecula, CA 92592They are decpetive and lied and even told a co-worker that if I didn't talk with them they would come down to my work. They had left messages on my cell and a couple at work and I just wasn't going to call them until the co-worker call... then... I Called Them. The very first thing they have to tell you BY LAW is their name, complete address, who the (suppossid) debtor is and the amount that is owed. Until they give you this information they are not allowed to tell you anything else. When I asked they gave me all kinds of reasons to not give it to me and the one guy said he did't like my attitude so he handed me to someone else. I asked him many times and he kept talking over me and finally said if I would just stop talking he would tell me blah blah blah. He said they were working on a past debt and the amount was over $1000 but the intial debt was $124 and if I would just send that it would be ok. I said of course I wont and he said So you acknowledge the debt and I said of course I wont. Name and address over and over until he finally broke and said he was only giving to me so I would send a check and one again I told him I wasn't sending anything. He had said in the beginning the call was being recorded and after he gave me the address I told him I would keep the harassing calls and the list of lies he had left and the phone calls at work and that I didn't owe them or anyone else money. I said this several times until he started saind (and I quote) blah blah blah blah blah until he finally hung up. You must acknowledge them to get them to stop calling BUT you tell them they cannot call you and they have to stop especially at work. THEN you have to write them at the above address and tell them to cease and desist all contact. Send it registered and return reciept for your records.here is the letter, feel free to copy:Effective IMMEDIATELY and pursuant to my rights under federal debt collection laws, I am demanding that you and all companies/partners/businesses involved or connected to you in ANY way cease and desist communication with me in ANY manner, as well as anyone know and unknown by me, in relation to this and all other alleged debts you claim I owe. You are hereby notified that if you do not comply, I will immediately file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the (your state here) State Attorney General’s office with documents and phone messages from you included. Civil and criminal claims will be pursued.Notarized copies of this letter as well as any documents and phone messages supporting this letter will be kept for a minimum of 10 years.
Question to all, where are they geting the information that have? They refused to send me what they said they claim to have sent me recentlyly to an address I no longer live at, and wanted my current address, which of course they will not get. These SOB's have gone as far as to call a relative and harass them, calling a grown woman a "brat" for not giving any intel on me. Glad to hear that I won't be the first to report them. Thanks !!
Pretty much got the same message as the rest of you today. The male did Not identify himself only said PR & Associates with a number to call back with an a sense of urgency and importance.. So I called the number. The lady that I spoke to was very nice....I asked who specifically they were looking for and she DID tell me. Come to find out it is my X husbands (x) second wife. I have not had his last name for a little over 3 years now and I have NO CLUE how the hell they got my number or somehow linked her to me, we both have VERY different names. Needless to say if you can provide them with the information (if you have it) you will be sure that they do not call and bother you in the future. One thing to remember in this age of technology...Phone numbers be it landline or cell are recycled/re-used almost immediately...just a lil food for thought. Also since this is a collection agency you have the right to escalate the call/conversation to a supervisor and tell them that you do not know the person that they are looking for and DEMAND that they take you off of the automated call list, by law they have to remove your number.
Got a call from this number saying it was imperative to call them back today!!!! Called and just got a recording requesting to leave my name & number. Then I got onto the Internet and found this website! Won't call that number again!
