I'm getting calls on my work line and there is never a message. please stop or leave a message if it's important.

This is a "contracted telemarketing house". Someone else on here used the term "phonebank boiler room" or something similar - which maybe a better description. These types of companies do contracted calling for any one of several reasons: bill collection, surveys, magazine subscription renewal, credit card offers,......etc., etc. Proof of that is if you read this thread, you'll see many different types of calls were made from this same number in Florida. I'm lucky enough I have one of the Meridian phones that digitally display the incoming number. I have a sticky note above my phone with numbers of suspected offenders on it and when I see this number come in, I just lift he handset and quickly drop it. I think they think it is a bad number, because it seems to work after a few times.

during normal business hours just got a call from this number and already on hold for several minutes to request a delisting from their call list...Call Centers...

Ligit Company, offering many FREE mags. Yes they must verify your #. Also business can NOT put their #'s on the No Call Registry.

The company is "legit", but is a big pain in the backside. They call for free trade mags. I read a couple, but most hit the circular file. The trick the callers pull now is that they CLAIM you already receive a certain trade mag when you really don't, and confirm the info they got from a purchased sub list from another mag you already are with. They count on the fact that people often don't remember all the trade mags they get, so they confirm the info and send you one that you probably don't need, but confirmed out of confusion.I now renew all my trade mags ONLINE (yeah, you can do that), and all but a couple that are good for "library" reading are now received in an online format. So I can ignore this number and any others that look suspicious, and as a bonus I kill a few less trees. Since it is my extension and I don't answer for others, I can do that.

Got a call from this number to the company I work for asking for one of our service techs. I put her on hold to transfer and she disconnected. Sounded like she had an accent.

constant calls at work. up to 5 a day for 2 weeks now. is getting really irritating. no voice mail left. when i did answer once it was just air so obvious one of the robot calls waiting for a human to answer and then they would make their pitch. I didn't give the satisfaction but instead hung up the telephone. STOP CALLING ME.
