Seriously tire of getting these calls. Reported in numerous times to the Do Not Call Registry. Number has been registered for over 90 days.
I added them to my telemarketer contact. I created a telemarketer contact that doesn't ring and goes straight to voice mail. They call me once, I add them to the contact, and after that I don't even know when they call.
Why do these people not get the messge?Anyway soemone had a god idea that I plan to try the next time I answer one of these calls - I am going to tell them that I am required to tell them that My phone has been chosen for a review by the (New mexico or what ever state) board of consumer and fraud protection agency - or words to that effect. Then I'll see what happens - maybe at least they;ll delete my number!
It does not. This is a clearinghouse for information to inform persons about unfamiliar CID numbers and to share what numbers are pests. It is a site to warn and encourage caution. It provides a place to vent. Some posters provide tips, tricks, and how to make "official" complaints to government. As a keeper of these spoofed numbers, maybe someday this data might be helpful in prosecutions, but I doubt it. Julia may have more to say.
I think Rachel has moved her operations to India or possibly Pakistan. I answered a call from 970-944-2315 and spoke with a male person with a Indian or Pakistani accent. After informing him about my 29% credit card rate (bogus), I was informed that if I gave him my credit card number he would lower the fate to less than 6%. I asked about the fee for this service and that is where the call slowly went South. Naturally, I was informed that there was no fee and everything would remain the same except that my payments would be smaller. The call continued on the Southward trend until I politely informed him that I didn't think this was a good idea and I bid him farewell.I hope they call back so I can ask them what part of India the call is coming from. I want to inform the caller about my extensive travels to India some years ago and what a lousy place it is.
Credit card services ......, I have asked for them to stop an removed number for months now !
These people have called repeatedly and I have told them to take my name off their list, that I am on a no-call registry, and they always hang up on me and it's clear they simply ignore complaints. Something needs to be done about unsolicited, unwanted calls such as this!
they just keep calling . have not talked to anyone. on one answers when you say hello
I found a great way to put these jerks out of business. I assign everyone in my phone book a certain ring tone. My default ring tone is different. When I hear the ring tone of an unknown caller I don't answer my phone. Everyone where I work knows this and when my phone rings they all shout out "another scammer!" Later I can call back if I feel like it or if I think it might have been a legit phone call. I usually get a message that the number is "unassigned." Bottom line...If they are not in my phone book I don't talk to them.
