Phishing for credit card info. Claim to be marketing PSAT packets on CD, but this has scam written all over it. They wont give any information about their 'company.'
Called saying my daughters SAT scores weren't complete, and asked for her college info. I started asking questions and they hung up on me
The call proceeded as follows:First the caller ID said Dallas, TXher: Hello can I speak to Mrs. _____me: What about?her: ~click~Glad it didn't go further than that I guess
My wife got a call similar to the above mentioned calls. Thought maybe our daughter was actually applying for SAT practice test materials which the caller claims they were calling about. Caught my wife offguard evidently and she gave her debit card number only to find out later that our daughter signed up for no such thing. Had to shut the card down tonight before any damage done. Will let everyone I know with kids on their way to college know about this scam.
Jerk hung up before I could tell him to put me on the "do not call list" NOT with the actual SAT company.
Keep getting the PSAT calls. My son is a Sophmore, they must be getting the names off the High School data base. I am in Richmond, VA...... got three calls in about five days. From: 972-884-4820 and Caller ID has "Dallas, Texas". Phone Number #2: 866-493-7224 Caller ID has "Unavailable". I thought it was illegal in the State of VA to solicit and NOT have the COMPANY NAME in the Calle ID. Also, we are on the DO NOT CALL list. I wish someone would prosecute these people. Reading from google on the phone number, the notes show: the company could be "PSAT/SATPrep Courses. Website could be "www.testprepservies.org" and another phone number for the company could be 888-572-8228. The email could be "tpscustomerservice@yahoo.com". Again, got the last bit of information from reading where one person stayed on the phone and spoke to "Ken" and was told the company's website and information.
