Just called me selling a "small business loan". I did not press 1, but pressed "2" to be removed. I very much doubt I'll be removed. This is at least the 20th call I've gotten from this company in the last 6 months. The only way to combat telemarketing is to keep them on the phone as long as possible. If they lose money, they will stop. Their only expense is labor. If everyone in the world kept telemarketers on the phone for 10 minutes and never bought, they'll go bankrupt.
So it seems like I am in the boat with everyone else, I actually got a call for the same company from a Texas number. I've tracked the number to be through a VOIP providers based back East. I called the VOIP provider and as with many things on the internet, it's easy to spoof an original destination of the digital data (ie. they can call from California but make it look like it's coming from Texas). I am going to keep answering these calls until I get a physical address. Next time I'm in Cali I plan on visiting that physical address to see if they're there. These guys have been bugging me non-stop for more than 1 year. At this point I am ready to file legal action on them. People note your call times and any other info. Last case I read, the guy that pressed civil action against one of these companies was awards between $3-5k in compensation. These calls are subject to up to a $300-3000 fine each by the FCC in addition to any civil liabilities. These guys are undoubtedly scammers, but it's now a game for me to [***] the [***]...
Two calls this a.m. -- no msg left. I have a Portland OR number
I have blocked 7 numbers so far. They must know when uBlock them
Matt, right with you. I have gotten calls from Texas, California, and today, Maryland. "Hi this is Julia, and you've been approved...". When I click thru to a person and ask to be taken off the list, they hang up. When I press 2 to be taken off the list, it doesn't work and they keep calling. Is there a class action lawsuit against this company? Does anyone know what company it is? I tried to get that information today, and all the guy would say is "Business Loan Center." Next time, I'm going to click thru to a person and then pretend I have to get off the phone and ask for a name and call back number. A$$holes.
Got 2 calls, no voicemails. Called back and it said "If you want to be removed from the calling list press 1"
It was just President Obama calling to thank me for all my hard work.
Looks like this little robot has busy today. VM with no message left.
Huh? This robocall for a small business loan has nothing to do with that.
It's a robo call trying to sell small business loans. If you wait until the end of the message, it will give you an option to press 2 and be removed from the list. As soon as I pressed 2, it immediately disconnected me. I don't know if it worked or not.

debt lawyer looking for somebody
another sneaky debt collector
Yes it did
I didn't recognize the number so I obviously was checking to see who it was
The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.
Quit smoking quit line. Not spam. I used the Quit line to quit smoking. This is a follow up call.
