Ok, let's clear the air, shall we?There are reasons that this number is calling you. Here are those reasons.1. You requested to verify something with Google (GV, Gmail, YouTube, or other services by Google). This is the cause of 99% of calls coming from this number,2. Somebody (weather it be a scammer on craigslist or an advertisement) wants to claim your phone number. They do this with Google Voice, by telling you to enter a 2 digit code from 00-99. DO NOT ENTER THIS CODE FOR ANY REASON UNLESS YOU DIRECTLY REQUESTED IT!!!!!!! If you do, the scammers will charge your phone bill ridiculous amounts of money and they will have your phone number to keep. There is a service Google provides that you can reclaim your number by either calling them directly (650-253-0000) or using Google Voice to do so. This is 0.5% of calls coming from this number. 3. Somebody mistyped their own number when verifying their account. This is the other 0.5% along with #2.I hope this guide helped you as a 800notes user. Stay secure everyone.

I got a couple of text messages from Google that had a confirmation code. Right after that, I got a call from this number and did not answer it because I did not know the number. Then, there was a voicemail; it said that it was a confirmation code from Google. I have no idea what this is about since I did not change the settings or requested anything from Google. Today is November 11, 2014.

IF this is Google, what is wrong with them, I do not use their online phone service!!! My gmail is administered in Northern California. I do not get the DC call. Don't use YouTube either. Sure is difficult to reach a live body at Google if Chrome crashes, but THEY will call you over something petty and invalid. I am not a patient person, and calls come right at dinner time and close to bed. Too bad their left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Go figure.

This number keeps appearing on my call log.Mysteriously as that I have dialed it or receive a call from it. It is always between 6 and 6:30 am. The phone never rings .And it shows always after couple days later.Meaning it will appear on the call log two days later after the call are dated that they were made.Very strange.The phone company has no explanation.Basically they say that the Google search may do that if there is anything in search with similar number or word with the letters equivalent to that number.In another words they have not a clue.
