Caller ID read Washington DC..answered call with Mute on. Female asked for me by name, but I did not respond, so she hung up. I tried to call back, & all I got was "your call could not go thru". Blocked # from my phone.
I answered the phone, and there was no one on the line. I tried calling them. First time I got a busy signal. Next two times I got a message "I'm sorry. Your call did not go through. Please hang up and try again."
Caller purported to be calling on behalf the Environmental Defense Fund. I was told they could connect me with my Senator's office so I could express my opposition to a CDR on the BLM rule. Upon further explanation, the caller seemed to know essentially nothing about the rule. So the issue is legit, but caller also told me he wasn't allowed to give me the address of the EDF. The issue involving natural gas waste is fairly sophisticated and I suspect that if one calls his/her Senator's office based on information provided, you will give an opinion antithetical to the one that should be given if you're a progressive. I have a call in to the EDF to see if they have a boiler room working somewhere. Calling the number that showed up on my phone for this outfit yielded a number not in service. Always a sign of mischief.
Caller said, "what's your name, girl? answered, What's your name? He snickered and hung up.
Calls everyday. Multiple times a day. Blocked the number after the 1st time they called. They still call a few times a day but at least my phone doesn't ring for it. So far they have called 3 times before noon. Ugh. Fed up
