I saw the Clean Harbor name on CID and didn't answer it either, which is what led me here, but he did leave a message and then later called my cell to go over my open support case. Definitely Office 365 support
I logged into my microsoft business customer portal and requested a call back for support instead of wading through automated directory phone hell. It is a call I requested from microsoft. It is not a sales call or one with bogus pretenses. 100% positive this is a legit Microsoft customer service number. I'm looking at the incoming number in my mobile phone history from 20 minutes ago. Safe.
I googled it because the phone was ringing and I wanted to answer the call if I quickly find out who it was...It was Microsoft, and she left a lengthy voicemail about my new Office 365 subscription. Very hard to understand her, and don't need any phone assistance from them. All of you folks who insist that others *prove* who the call is coming from really de-value the purpose of websites like this. Yes, sometimes scammers spoof phone numbers, but in this case, the call to me is legit (albeit unwanted).
This was Microsoft returning my call for a support request. You don't want to block this number.
This was a Microsoft Tech support calling me back for an open ticket for Office 365. If people here are doubting it... try calling the number. The first 2-3 sentences on their operator voice was suspicious, but then it said "thank you for calling ... Office365...". I have an open ticket and they just called when I wasn't at my desk. I'm sure this is not an advertized phone #. If I had stayed on the call, I'm sure they would have asked me for my ticket code.
This is a legitimate number. You ask us to prove it when you could VERY easily prove it for yourself. All you have to do is go to your Office admin console and click on "Need Help" in the bottom right corner. Start a ticket with them and wait. They will call you and it will show up as "Great Harbor." On you screen you will see that your ticket has been assigned and you will have a ticket number. They will ask you if you are calling in regard to ticket number "123465789". Unless they already have control of your computer and can see the ticket number, you are in a fake MS admin console, or they are intercepting your traffic or something, there is no possible way it is fake. I mean just do it there's literally no risk. Use a spoofed number or something if you have to. I don't think that with all the simple avenues there are for you to prove it right or wrong to yourself, the onus should be on US to prove it. Literally it's as easy as that and if they can't quote your ticket number. Then it's fake. But they will. So it's real. End of story.
This is Microsoft's Office 365 support organization. It's legit. They phoned me about a deployment problem that I reported, though they didn't leave a message.
