This is a legitimate call back from amazon regarding my Kindle. Like others have said needed to fill out request on Amazon . com to get a call back but caller id on my landline only shows number...not who number belongs to.
Yes, Amazon customer support. In my case it was not for Kindle. I had a fraud issue come up and kept getting the runaround until a young man from this department took initiative and took care of it for me. Every time he called me it was from this number.
It truly is Amazon Support and it works very well. The answerer is polite and helps solve the issue. Very effective and efficient. I requested a call back on the Amazon site and they phoned me promptly, little time on hold, and they resolved my issue. I would recommend their service anytime.
It's Amazon support. I had to find the "call us" number on the web site and answer question as to my problem and ask to be called. They would call right away. So if you didn't request it, a call might be a prank or probably a spoof call from a scammer. There's a whole new bunch of phone scammers that are not too sophisticated and trying obvious scams like pretending to be credit card people.
It's now January 2016 and I wanted to assure folks that this number, 206-922-0866, is still Amazon Support. I just spoke to them about a problem with my Kindle.
If this is an Amazon support number why the heck can't they leave a message if they want to talk to someone? They called my Tracfone on 3/16/16. They did not leave a message and I do not answer unknown numbers on my Tracfone as I have to pay for time used so why would I answer calls from unknown numbers? They never called again so it couldn't have been too serious a need to talk. Sounds more like robocall to me..
Called my cell phone over 60 times in less than an hour. Filled up my voicemail full. Amazon swears its not their phone number.
