My cell phone indicates this number called my cell phone and a 15 minute conversation took place. but I never got the call. My phone did not ring and I certainly did not talk to the person at this number for 15 minutes at 9 a.m. last Saturday. I would remember the call.

That might be what they claim, but according to Amazon this isn't one of their numbers. They also don't call this early in the morning.

It is an amazon customer service rep that returns your call after you request it.

I just chatted with AMAZON because I got called that my order went to the wrong address-the order was delivered to me 2 hours later as scheduled. The chat person said this number is NOT an AMAZON number?!

I called Amazon because of a spam coupon. The called me back and was told to send them the message I received and told me it was a spam and not to click on anything in the message . They said they received hundreds of calls from customers who received the same email.

This is the Amazon Customer Call Back Service. You have to initiate this before they will call you.

This is legitimately a call from Amazon. They scheduled the call with me to check on a new kindle charger they sent me. I missed the first call and I googled to make sure it was Amazon. It was. When they called back I spoke with the guy from Amazon.

This number was Amazon customer service for me.

I, as much as anyone else, HATE telemarketers to the point that I purchased a call blocker. I had several calls last night and was sorting through to see which ones were telemarketers and which one was from Amazon. My husband sells back books to Amazon, had an issue with one particular book, and requested someone call. It is a strange system, but that's how they do it there. Not sure about the other people getting 22 calls a day, but just wanted to explain why someone might check on here if they knew it was a legit number. It's because we get SO many and have to figure out which is which. Hope that helps. :)
