I just had to throw my 2 ¢ in. I had a problem with an Amazon order that never came and asked them to call me. This was the number that showed up on my Caller ID. I didn't care where they are, the rep from Amazon was extremely polite and professional. When we were finished he thanked me and asked how the weather was in CA. So I asked him how his weather was. He said he was in the Philippines. We all know that Caller ID can be faked...but this shows it for sure. Why would Amazon want to make their customer service appear to be in WA if in fact they aren't? I really am shocked and amazed!!! But at least it was NOT a damn telemarketer!!!
I was sorting through because we had one call back from Amazon and a few other unknowns (telemarketers/scammers I presume). My husband sells back books to Amazon and when you have an issue with credit/whatever, you put in a request to have someone call you. It doesn't show up as Amazon, but it is legit.
Yes, I would, because I asked for a call back from Amazon and they followed through using this number. They have the best customer service anywhere!
Amazon Security. They called me three times early in the morning and didn't leave messages. I picked up the phone ready to give them a piece of my mind but I appreciated that they were calling because of suspicious activity on my account. I'm sure they were calling so many times because they were trying to check with me before they shipped the packages and not leaving messages must be a security protocol.
Call back fom Amazon Customer Service which I initiated. This is a reputable phone call from Amazon
I typed my phone number into the Amazon call back service and received a call from some scumbag guy asking me "how long you gonna be out there.." What the heck?

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
