I have received hundreds of hang up calls on my answering machine from this company. Spoke to them on three different occasions and asked them to please stop calling because I am not interested in taking the survey. Still, they were very persistent about me taking the survey regardless of how many times I declined and they are still calling my number in spite of my requests to stop badgering me and put me on the “do not call” list. What annoys me most about this particular annoyance call is the fact that the New York State Department of Health is spending my tax dollars to employ a company in Boise, Idaho to hang up on my machine rather than hire a firm right here in their own backyard and support jobs in their own state.
What Jason fails to realize, is that, among many other things, not everyone is awake during the hours they call! Ever heard of 2nd or 3rd shift? As long as a service, I don't care HOW legitimate it may be, makes numerous calls but leaves zero messages, and doesn't give callees a way to have their calls blocked, the complaints will continue. Jason (et al): we're not rude people who call the government communist; YOU are rude people who make phone call after phone call and leave no message. You may just be trying to do a job, but we may be getting woken up out of a sound sleep. Something tells me YOU wouldn't like that.
Why don't these people get a life? They should not be bothering people on a Sunday, bad enough all week they call.
I feel bad for the poor schnooks that work for this company, Clearwater Research. After more than a dozen calls (when, of course, no message is left), they finally called when I was home. "Robert" claimed that they were doing research for the State of New York. If this is true, then it figures that NYS would outsource a survey and not use an in-state company. I told him to take me off his "call list". He claimed that he couldn't assure that. So what good is it to be on the do-not-call list anyway? Ah yes, our hard earned tax dollars at it's best!
Says there from the Indiana health dept and want to take a survey; Got a "All in one call blocker" hit the big red button; disconnects and blocks further calls; best thirty bucks i spent in a while; love hitting the big red "BLOCK NOW" button; disconnects and they cants phone back.
This company keeps calling my cell phone every 2-3 days then hanging up as soon as I answer the phone using up my minutes! If I don't pick up, they don't leave a message. It's been going on for weeks now it's getting ridiculous! Finally got through to a person and she (Theresa answering on Ellen Dietz's line) gave a bunch of excuses including "contractually, we can only let it ring 5 times", she still tried to get me to participate in a study and I asked to be removed from their list - let's hope they actually take me off!
They don't leave a message because it counts as a contact....some states only allow 1 contact per week....hence the repeated calls. Scumbags.
The do not call list does not work for companies doing surveys. It only works for solicitors..people selling stuff.
