Called at 11:30 AM. No message. Probably spammer.
Same old autodialed recorded robocall from "Cardmember Services" offering a phony lower interest rate, just a credit card phishing scam. If you try to call spoofed number there is no answer, so it's a scam operation.
Received 8 calls Saturday. Finally answered and someone who sounded like they were from India asked for my discover card number. I don't have one so I made up a number and tied them up as long as possible. He started accusing me of playing with him, said f*** you and hung up on me. Clearly this call came from Time Warner Customer Service...
Received call from unknown caller. No message left.
It is that big of a deal when I get a ton of calls from telemarketers and sorry but I don't want calls from random numbers while I'm at work or while I'm in bed.
It's either a telemarketer (claiming it's from your credit card company which it is NOT) or a phishing call trying to con you into given them your credit card info to rip you off. The number and PURDY, ROBERT listing is caller ID spoofing. They can make it say anything they want so you might pick up. Since caller ID spoofing used - it's a scammer looking to steal your credit info.
Just got a call from yet another of these spoofed numbers (212-465-9832). I don't usually answer these unknown numbers, but, unfortunately, I was actually expecting a call from the New York area (212 area code). I tried to call back and got a recorded message that the 'mailbox was full'. This or some similar problem is typical of robocalls; notice that can you never actually call them back (since this is a high jacked number anyway). These calls are like gnats or cockroaches (I've received untold calls from a vast range of numbers). They don't usually hurt you, but they are certainly annoying!
This number called my cell today. Caller ID revealed "New York, NY." I did not pick up. Caller left 22 seconds of dead air on my voicemail.

Scammer spoofed this number, which is the US district court western division.
debt lawyer looking for somebody
another sneaky debt collector
Yes it did
I didn't recognize the number so I obviously was checking to see who it was
The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.
Quit smoking quit line. Not spam. I used the Quit line to quit smoking. This is a follow up call.
