This caller not only called me a b**** because I wouldn't give him my credit card and social, but told me he was going to f*** me...honestly frightened..
Told me the same///they would lower my credit card interest rate and want to know my credit card number which i refused. Said cancelled my credit card then i called the company..
Recording wants to lower my credit card interest.. Called back and number out of service...
Called my work cell. No caller id, just the phone number showed. Tried to send the auto reply,"I cant take this call" msg and received a msg in return that it was a land line. No voice mal left for me. Will block number.
This telemarketer represented himself as a representative of my Credit card company. He knew almost everything about me. He wanted $400 to lower my interest rate to below half of what is currently is. Something didn't seem right so I conferenced my credit card company. He hung up after a minute because he knew he was busted.BEWARE!!!!!!
These types of calls will never stop. The fact that they have been rampant for so many years proves it. The powers that be don't care enough to do anything about it. Let's face it, they are safe from such predators & it would probably cost them too much to track & prosecute all such criminals out there so honestly why would they care. Cost is often the bottom line. With all their resources, you would think they could easily track and deal with all these criminals practicing all forms of identity theft but again, it is so rampant and on such a grand scale, why would they. They're too busy collecting data on everyone else. Internet scammers and identity theft callers are small potatoes to them. I don't like it anymore than you do but it is a reality. Protect yourself as best you can. I personally have received multiple calls from this number as recent as today to a mobile business phone that I am required to leave a detailed voice greeting complete with name and company position, so these scamming filth now know my name if they didn't already. I am so thrilled. How ever since company upgraded from old flip phones to top of the line smart phones, I was able to use a block feature within the phone itself. Hopefully it will make some difference.
