Have received multiple calls from this number, including 3 so far today. I never answer and no message is ever left. Nuisance.
I got this call too. So I called it back. Robert Purdy answered and didn't know that somebody had been using his number on these calls. He said that he was going to call his cell provider and find out what was going on. So call them back the next one might be using your number.
Credit Card Scammer, report ALL unwanted calls to the FTC 888 382 1222 this is the only way to slow them down, I ALWAYS answer unknown numbers with "If this is a telemarketer or recorded I'll report you to the FTC" and I follow thru with it.
The call was automated, soliciting a limited-time-offer to reduce interest rates. The ID claimed 'Robert Purdy' was calling. Since this individual can't be tracked, I'll be reporting the service provider to the authorities. If the provider doesn't like it, tough !$#@. They are providing a smoke-screen, enabling their customer to break the law and get away with it. Both parties need to be prosecuted.

Rang my cell a few hours ago. Didn't answer as I know no one in this area code and "Name Unknown" appears on ID. No voice mail left. From previous posts, sounds like the old Credit Card Services telemarketing scam.

I didn't recognize the number so I obviously was checking to see who it was
The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
