Gentleman with Indian accent claiming to be calling from Windows Technical Department. When I asked him, "Do you think God honors lying?", he got upset, told me not to involve a third person and then hung up.
03-14-2018 : Received call from 212-619-9999. Did not answer. No message left. Previous posts indicate this as a credit card scam to get your account information. Looks like they are starting a new round of calls.
Keep receiving calls from this number. I do not know anyone in this area code. 8 to 10 calls a day. Block all these numbers. Big scam.
Answered the call, said that my laptop virus software was disabled and something was compromised. English was not great so I could not even understand what they were saying..... I just kept asking what was compromised and they would mumble something off that didn't make sense to me. They kept asking me to get my laptop. Didn't fall for it, never do so I finally hung up....
Called my cell phone today. Did not leave a message. it popped up on my cell phone as a suspected scam number so I did not answer.
