got a call from 212-619-9999. He didnt expect me to pick up and was talking to someone else about 'buying something...' and then got hung up on. Definitely spammer scammer
Fake Microsoft Tech Support Scam from an Indian call center. Told me I had errors on my computer that they could fix. Had me download www. fixme.it but abruptly hung up when they found I had a Chromebook which wouldn't run the program. Don't fall for this scam. Don't give them remote access to your computer. They will take your money and steal your information.
Received a phone call claiming that my MasterCard card was locked. Only problem is that I don't have a MasterCard credit card- not even from a store credit line.
Caller who did not immediately identify themselves or their company, requested to be transferred to Human Resources, when asked to identify purpose so that they can be transferred properly, they indicated that as I wasn't able to (blindly) transfer they were no longer interested in speaking to HR.
