Caller ID displayed "Unknown Name" after 8:30 p.m. so did not pick up. No message left. From all the other comments here it seems this is marketing for the NYC Ballet that I had a comp membership for.
Really appreciate the post. Picked up the phone no one answered. Was concerned because children live in NYC. Thank-you!
Thanks. This is very helpful. No reason to call the NYC ballet back to give them money for nothing. I spend enough money on tickets to see their shows as it is.
Received call from 212-870-4240 on my cell phone on Thursday, March 19 at 2:18 pm. Didn't answer but it was clearly from an unknown party.
I also received a call from 212-870-4240. I realize everyone is trying to raise money, but just because I purchased tickets from them, (and rather expensive ones at that) doesn't mean they should keep calling me. Worse yet, I answered the phone, and they didn't actually say anything. Truly annoying.
The NYC Ballet is TERRIBLE about these telemarketing calls. They bug me constantly--every day of the week including weekends and nights. I'm on the Do Not Call registry and hate that they're allowed to call me just because I've been a customer in the past. They already send mail to my residence every performance season, and I'm perfectly capable of buying tickets when I'm interested. Their aggressive marketing tactics are enough to make me reconsider whether I want to attend any more of their ballets!
