I think the problem falls down to our blackberrys.. When the phone is locked.. it gives you several options.. "Unlock, Emergency Call, and Cancel".. If it happens to bump the Emergency call it calls 911 (This happened this morning to me..).. Number is to Dallas 311.. she advised me that it was a callback from 911 to make sure there wasnt an emergency.
This number called my cell. But i did call 911 but hung up before 911 answered. So, i figured 911 call center was making sure everything was okay.
call to my cell phone. 911 was accidently dialed but not connected. immediately a call from this number came in to my phone. does anyone know what this is?
Got a call from this number on my cell phone. I only have txt service so I called it back from a landline and got a messages saying that the number has been disconnected or a wrong number / or needs a correct area code. My guess is that this is some sort of scam where the actual call is made from a different number and displays the 214-741-4827 number on your cell phone.
Call on my cell from 214-741-4827. I am in the Dallas area. I missed the call but there was a message. "This is only a test alert from the Pioneer Emergency Alert System. This is only a test alert." The Texas Womens University are the Pioneers in this area. I tried calling the number from another phone and it said the that number could not be reached with out the correct area code?! I think they have wrong numbers loaded in their alert system.
I received a call from this number last night at 11:33PM. I had called the police to report my car being broken into. The first responding officer saw finger prints and said that if I wanted the forensics team could come out. I agreed. He said they'd come by later (at this time it was already 9:45PMish) so I assumed it was them that called. I called them back as I was still awake, but I got a disconnected message.
This is most likely a trunk number associated with Dallas Police. Please, if anyone accidentally calls 911, don't hang up thinking maybe it didn't go through. Because it did. Stay on the line and let the operator know that there is no emergency. PD policy requires that the 911 operator attempt to call you back and if there was no emergency, then that's just taking up time from answering other actual emergency calls. A lot of "pocket calls" are received in a 911 system; your phones have a mind of their own. ;-)
I rcv'd a missed call @ 2:03am this morn'g from this number, but I didn't dial 911. My phone was in it's case, untouched by anyone, even me Bcuz I'd been asleep for hours, no msg. was left.
I called 911 and spoke to a dispatcher. 5 hours later (01:18 AM) I rec'd a call from 214-741-4827. I was sleeping, so don't know who it was
Caller ID read "H C Contact Cen"The woman said her name was Arnetha and she was with View Point Bank. She was doing a follow up call regarding some information that was sent to us. (That is what she said.) She said nothing about a 911 call, and we are in Parker county not Dallas. I double checked the number, and it is the same as above.
