I agree with everyone that believes you work for this company. First, FYI Credit Bureaus do not report "PAID IN FULL" so fast nor so easy. It takes days for them to report a negative mark on your report without even conforming is legit, but up to 90 days to remove with all the prove it should'nt be there in the first place, and many times you even have to consult an attorney to have it remove. Second, most people are not aware that when company handles debt to collection company does debt already are noted in their books as "write-off" or "losses". Only a minimum portion (tiny bit of the portion) goes to the original debtor and the rest stays with the collection agency. IT IS ILLEGAL TO HARASS. And, finally, Is you have an old debt you want to clear up, just call the company directly they will work with you. They rather get more money from you than from the collection agency. Most of the time the bills can get reduce to 60% and depending on the age in some cases they will even pardon you. If you check your Credit Report and have 2, 3, 4 collection agencies for the same debt fighted, fighted to the end. Colelction Agency or not suppose to report to the credit bureau. They are not the original debtor. They get away with it because people are not educated enough. I do not work with any of these company, but my credit was once ruin due to collection agency, That's when I learn
thats unfair to say you think its thier fault that either they got laid off or lost thier jobs because of the economy? or they got sick and lost a substansial amount of income to the medical bills already? though maybe its unfair to call first federal bottom feeders but its even more unfair to AUTOMATICALLY assume that the reason that people dont pay thier bills is because thier deadbeats. just becasue your still have YOUR job and YOUR income doesnt give you the right to generalize and stereotype people like that.
I got a call but didn't answer. As far as I know my medical bills are paid. If I owe money the Doctors offices call me and I know who they are
I keep getting phone calls from this # at odd hours in the day.I want that this stops as it interferes wiht my normal daily activities and also with my phone plan as I have a limited amount of minutes that I can use with my plan.
Inform the collectors in writing they are calling a mobile device. This is banned under the FDCPA.
Some of us don't pay our bills when they are related to an auto accident that was NOT their fault and the bills still end up in collection!
You have obviously never been in a situation where your life crumbles around you...a mother with chronic health conditions who cant work - and a father who got TERRIBLY injured on the job. When you are paying what you can on medical bills...calling, being responsible and still getting calls from bill collectors...when you COULD just file a bankruptcy and screw everyone .....but you don't becasue you are trying your best to be responsible to your healers. Even if it means that that sick mother of two kids gets out everyday in pain to work as much as possible to pay these people off...while the husband is home disabled. As soon as we realize that our TINY perspective is not the be-all end-all answer and stop juding people this world will be a better place.
