2 sources of these calls:(1) An automated robo-dialer which calls a library of numbers to verify their validity by listening for the telephone company's alert tone for a "not in service" number. This is to refine their library of numbers to known working numbers to increase the value of their lists when they sell them to unscrupulous marketers.(2) A telemarkerter, possibly from anywhere in the world:They use a combination of "spoofed" caller IDs and actual "VOIP" portals courtesy of unscrupulous marketing companies who pay individuals for a small spot in their homes and small businesses all over the US. It is in these places where the company provides internet service and a phone line or two to the gateway. Time on these gateways are sold to anyone world-wide who wants to appear "local" to their intended victims (oops, I mean "markets"). Of course they are not going to stop calling. Once on a call list circulated by these thugs, it is sold, and re-sold... the buyers are going to make the calls.I don't answer unknown or unrecognized numbers. For each unidentified number which doesn't leave a VM, I do a search. If the number comes up as one with lots of complaints, I add it to the contact named "SCAM". Depending on my mood, I assign a ringtone of "silence", or for some cathartic relief, I use a barking dog.

They gave my name and asked if this was my mobile number - and hung up after I confirmed

called at around 3AM. No message.

Called just after 11:00 am Saturday morning. I gave tem two chances to respond to my "Hello" and then hung up. No response from their end.

A difficult to understand foreign man said he was calling about my prescription?!?

So much for the "Do Not Call" list!

They called my work phone in a thick Indian accent asking if I wanted some cheap drugs Viagra or Cialis. I said give me a big bag of cash. He then said "Viagra"..I said "NO!! GIVE ME A BIG BAG OF MONEY!!" Then hung up on the [***].

Called 2:20 Eastern time, Thick accent, Difficult to understand, said he was calling about my shipment of Viagra. Told them they had the wrong number.
