How do you know this is a "money owed to municipalities" debt collector making these calls?The name of that "debt collector" should be public information. Why haven't you presented that information?We know darn well that debts owed to govenment entities have no statute of limitations, and that includes money owed to "circuit courts" (and all other courts) for court expenses and fines.
I paid some outstanding court fines (tickets) through them and they were very nice and helpful. Just thought people would want to know they work for the courthouses for half of illinois
Because I've paid three tickets through their company!! You should be a little nicer to people..I was just trying to pass the information I got from them along. And an A+ rating on the BBB is a pretty good indication they arent scammers

I received a call from this number and I have been reading all of the comments. I did not answer the call and they did not leave a message. Considering that I have never lived in Illinois and have only travelled there once, and I wasn't driving, that this is a scam phone call. The information given when I looked the phone call up was: Rick Nutter Fair Oaks St Springfield Illinois 217-717-4287.
I started getting calls from this number, leaving me messages that I owe fines to Jo Davies, Illinois. I've never had any fines of any kind there. Said I had to call them back by 5:00PM today.
My son who is deaf got a call from them via his video phone. He was very upset as he was told he owed $1000 for driving with a suspended license. He never in his life has had a suspended license. this reaches an all time low, scamming deaf people! Legitimate companies write letters. because he was upset, he had them call me. I didn't recognize the number and didn't answer. But, clearly from the vague message, its a scam

808 808 5764 sent aphishing scam email with this phone number attached. They were impersonating PayPal. It had the PayPal logo and said I owed $598.00 and that they would charge PayPal. I reported the email to PayPal. This is scary and fraudulent.
