getting calls from this number & don't want them

The 224 area code is for the state of Illinois so why would a school in Colorado have an Illinois number??? This doesn't make any sense. Called me twice last night and again at 8am this morning on a holiday, about 10 minutes after I contacted CTU's live chat and told them to remove me from their call list.

Most of this number are cause when you sing up on something on the web. But most of the number are online school.

The caller is Colorado Technical University. Got a call from them early in the morning. Went to their website and chatted with someone. They put a request to remove my number from their list. They said it would take 24 hours. We'll see.

When they call they dont say anything when u answer so u cant tell them to stop [***] calling this number

First of all, don't be surprised if you still receive calls from them, they most likely ask for your full name, to either look you up in the system, or, they ask your name to confirm that you are who you say you are, otherwise anyone can just call up and remove someone else's number.Second, it doesn't take them 24 hours to actually press the keys required to remove your number. They likely remove your number from the database, but the database is not actually updated until later (to conserve on bandwidth or to prevent unnecessary lag when the database is accessed. Or it might take 24 hours to update because at the beginning of the day, a list of telephone numbers is printed out (yours included) and that is what they use to call people, in which case, it doesn't matter how fast someone can type, deleting your name from a database will not remove it from the piece of paper in someone else's hand.It's embarrassing how prevalent and common place computer technology has become, yet many people are still ignorant enough to think that they are still "magical."

Pleas quit calling me!!

That's why you should have a loud whistle or an airhorn by your phone. What a great opportunity to blast some useless scammer.
