Depends on what state you life in. Minnesota has laws that limit what telemarketers or collection agencies can say, including profanity and threats. The state has successfully sued the individual who made the call, not the agency. If you can, record messages or conversations. Get a name, company, or location or id number and keep track of dates and times. More documentation is better. Then start by reporting it on the FCC Web site. You also do not need to listen, you can hang up. You can block the numbers they use. And of course if a call comes in that you do not know the phone number or company or individual, DO NOT answer the phone. Just because the phone rings doesn't mean you must answer. You are busy and if they choose to leave a message, deal with it later.
Caller ID said TEST did not leave message. I do not answer unknown, unrecognized, or unsolicited calls.
Annoying caller, the caller ID says "test" . Rings 3 times and then they hang up.I will not answer these scum bags or give them the time of day. I resent their intrusion of my privacy by calling repeatedly into my home. I am on the do not call list for all the good that does.
Called number back and it asked if I wanted to be removed from this list. Hit any key and then it said good bye.

I keep getting calls from 231-267-8110 it rings then hangs up never identifying who it is or why they are calling. I have caller ID and to not answer numbers I do not recognize. These calls are very disruptive. What can be done to stop these calls. I am also getting calls which my caller IDs as private caller.
TEST ....?!?GRrrrrrBut I dont have any credit card debtOR credit cards! SO, they dont even really know who they are calling, just information leaches, probably... a scam. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE JERKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did not answer.
This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by not having an operator on the line when the phone is answered, and still further violate it by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line. The recorded message is the standard 'this is your last opportunity to take advantage of this offer to lower your interest rates' scam. When you do get to an operator, they further violate the TCPA by hanging up instead of providing a physical address and phone number when asked. This is clearly a scam. Do not provide this scammer any personal information.
