I've just got my 6th call few minutes ago from this number. That's sooooo wierd!!! I also just had an appointment at Davids Bridal. I can't believe it! I didn't even think about that...
I just received a call from that number, but I never answer unknowns. I figure if it's someone I want to talk to they'll leave me a message. I'm glad I didn't and that I found this site warning me it's a Phishing scam. Now when they call back I'll be prepared. Having a few choice words and to ask my own questions. Like how'd they get my number? It's brand new to me. I've only had it for a few weeks and only given it out to 10 reliable people. It's definately not my credit card company. I wonder if it's my cell phone provider! How else would they get it?
Its DAVIDS BRIDAL.THEY GOT MY NUMBER AND EVER SINCE I HAVE NOT STOPPED GETTING STUPID JUNK SCAM CALLS! DONT SIGN UP WITH THEM IF YOUR GOING TO DO ANYTHING, GO TO THE STORE!
These ppl called me several times today. I tried to answer the 1st call and they hung up. Then they called back a few times, and I wouldn't answer. Do not answer any calls from this #...especially after reading all of these complaints about the same #!
They tried to tell me I was a finalist in a sweepstakes...I lied when they asked about my age, whether or not I was married and my income...and then I hung up when the lady started talking about the magazines. I told her I didn't want them! They got defensive when I started asking if they had any credit card numbers or anything on file for me...and I told them I didn't want to pay anything, so they scheduled me for a callback...we'll see what happens when my husband answers the phone next time.
called many times and when called back says voice mail is full. Never leave me messages and now after reading other posts about Davids Bridal it makes sense I was just recently registered as well
Calls twice a day every weekday at the same exact time. No message left. Needs to stop. I believe they got my number from some trial site I used recently.
Got this call today on my cellphone (work issued) I was like, yeah, whatever, can you tell I sound skeptical? He says well I have been here 8 years and we award the prizes every year. He didn't say it was a credit card but rather said Publishers Clearing house and that I was one of 50 possible winners. Asked to confirm my address (he spouted it off, I just said yes) and asked if this number was the best way to get me (also answered in the affirmative) Didn't ask for any more info and said he would be sending out my confirmation. Told me to have a happy new year, I said you too, he was like Ohhhh Thanks! and hung up. DAMN! I thought I was gonna be rich ;)
Hmm.... I have received this missed call about 30 mins. apart for the second day in a row now. They don't leave a voicemail. I haven't registered at any bridal show or anything else that I recall. So who they are and what they want is a mystery to me. But, I would love to get them on the phone and totally mess with them just for my own fun and laughs like I do with all telemarketers. heehee, fyi, They Hate It!!!
I received a call today on my cell phone that sounds exactly like all of the ones previously described in other posts. The guy was slick and a real talker. Even though he did manage to confirm my address and he got my name correct, he didn't get any other information on me. I shut him down when he asked for $4.95 a week for magazines and made it sound like a great deal and that I'd be nuts if I didn't take it. He also didn't know the name of the so called "Major credit card company" that entered me. I was suspicious. He also said that they had been calling me all week, and I told him that this was the first call I had gotten from them. Like I'm supposed to just sit there waiting for their call to come in! Besides, it's a big holiday season. He was definitely lying. They tell you that you're entered to win $1,000,000 and tell you that they really really hope that you win and make it sound like a really big deal to get you all buttered up. Just hang up!
