Caller id shows "Maryland" and number, no message

I have received calls from this number.The way to STOP these unwanted calls is to start making it COST them $$$ to MAKE the calls. I pickup on the 1st or 2nd ring ... mentally count to 5 and hang up. That's a "completed call" that they now MUST PAY for! ... LOL !!! That's why they don't let it ring more than 3 times because they have to PAY if the Ans. Machine gets it. What if all across America we ALL did that ??? They would now be paying BIG bucks for our HANG UPS ... LOL !!! I have already reduced the number of calls I'm getting.

Got a call from 240-538-4399 around 4pm Sunday and didn't answer and they left no message.Did a *67 (block ID) 240-538-4399 to see if anyone answered. Nope .Suggest you not answer any calls from this number.Some people on this post talked about the DoNotCall Registry.I have given up on it because a few times I filed complaints several times over 1 year forthe same numbers and they kept calling anyway until I went online to my cell phone acct. and just blocked the number myself. That worked .The DoNotCall Registry started out good and I feel it's just another Government project failure and should be scrapped.
