This is common today. It's a cheap and easy way to accumulate working telephone numbers. If you read at all I don't really know how you aren't aware of this.
Not all calls are subject to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Government's Do Not Call Registry. Any calls not originating in the USA are not within the USA's jurisdiction. Caller ID is manipulated on scam calls. The call could be coming from Indonesia or New Zealand. Report it though; report all of the calls you feel are suspect.
Called me around 7:30p. I didnt hear the phone ring and did not recognize the number. No mesage was left on my voicemail. Reverse phone number search and found this thread and many similar reports.
