this number calls routinely, I answer and someone is there but they say nothing ... so when this happens I turn the number in ... the odd thing is since if we are updated on the do not call list, this is not supposed to happen.
"Congratulations! You've been selected to win a free cruise to the Bahamas!" ... at which point I hung up.
Just got this call at 9am. He said he was "Anthony from customer service" (no company name mentioned) and asked if I could hear him ok. I hesitated and he said "great, okay" and that's when I realized it was a recorded voice. I hung up and checked this site and found out it was probably Verizon. They have been trying every way possible to get me to return to them since I changed services a few months ago.
I called that number back but entering my number with *67 so that it didn't show up on their caller I.D. A recording from Verizon came on that said, "The number you have called has either been changed disconnected or no longer in service. That was IMMEDIATELY after they called my home phone. Probably a SCAM!
Hate seeing calls from unsolicited numbers! I don't answer or call back. I pay big bucks for a personal phone, I shouldn't get these calls!!!!
