Periodically, get a call from this number. Caller ID lists it as "Pennsylvania." Never leaves any message. Scammers, as far as I'm concerned.

I understand that it is possible to "USE" out-of-service numbers to mask the real source of a call. I think that's what this is. When you answer the phone, the "caller" (which is actually just a data-base service) notes that a real person exists at your phone number, and they sell your number to marketing agencies. If your answering machine kicks in, same thing. How do you win at this game?

The person, Tim, said he was from customer service. When I tried to ask what company Tim just kept talking. I hung up. They called 2x's in 10 mins. I answered the 2nd call.

Have been getting call and not answering finally picked it up and no one says anything just hangs up.

Someone should invent a phone that filters all calls unless you program them in as a known number. If filtered, it will allow one message of less than 30 seconds.What do you think?

So many of these kinds of calls. I have caller ID and if I don't recognize the number I go here and see what is up. Thanks to all of you who go to this site and let others know what is going on.

Got a call, didn't answer and they left no message.

This number called my cell, I wasn't available to answer, they didn't leave a message.

The called with Robo Ken who transferred me because I qualified. When I got to the representative, I asked how they got my number and how I qualified. He claimed that it came from either a r car rental company or one of the hotel chain which I use. The pitch was 3 days and 2 nights for 199.00. I said that I wasn't interested and he tried to sweeten the deal. I said no. He said that I might be skeptical to which I said that I just wasn't interested. Call terminated. My concern is that either I was lied to about how my number got on their list or my info was given out by one of these companies. Neither answer is satisfactory,
