We are legitimate. We never ask for anyones personal information and if anyone would stay on the line longer then to cuss at hard working people they would know that. Con Edison didn't necessarily release this ignorant woman's information. They wanted her input on their company and were kind enough to call and ask for it. Just called our home BUSINESS line at 8:49PM. They HUNG UP without leaving message after THREE RINGS (answering machine picks up at four rings.) I REFUSE to answer calls after 8 PM on that line! ELEVEN (11) hours a day is ENOUGH for ANY business. Caller ID said "THOROUGHBRED RE" and they DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION to call us - research or not. They are going to get BLOCKED.They called LESS than 15 minutes after 202-999-3686 called as well. THAT number has called us THREE TIMES in FOUR DAYS.This going to be a LONG FALL until the election. :((

We are NOT on Medicare and yet were called on a PRIVATE, UNLISTED in-home business line.This sounds like medical IDENTITY THEFT. This is very scary. People actually fake another's ID in order to receive/SELL FREE medical care to others (like ILLEGAL ALIENS, UNINSURED people) under a legitimate person's name/ACCT. Since benefits are CAPPED at a certain DOLLAR AMOUNT, this can be REALLY SERIOUS in terms of THEFT.These calls should DEFINTELY be reported to the DNC List, and possibly your local Social Security/MEDICARE OFFICE.NEVER discuss PERSONAL MEDICAL ISSUES with STRANGERS who 'cold call' you on the phone out of the blue. You never know WHAT information is being RECORDED/STORED on you; there is already TOO MANY databases out there with info we cannot control.

I've Googled MY OWN number and found my full name and address displayed, FOR FREE, to anyone for the asking.PLACE OF BIRTH is an important factor in acquiring a BIRTH CERTIFICATE. I've gone into our local city hall and requested birth certificates for my kids, my spouse and my mother-in-law with NO QUESTIONS ASKED and NEVER asked for ID. ANYBODY can request a BIRTH CERTIFICATE of another person and then start STEALING that person's IDENTITY, because from the BC one can get a DRIVER'S LICENSE, open up bank accounts, register for MEDICAL CARE under that person's name.So, as we can all see, YOU are the one that is IGNORANT and YOU should go jump off a bridge somewhere and spare us all your BULL$H*T.Its better to be overly cautious than a TOTAL DIPWAD JERK, which is what "DERP" must stand for.
