Got yet another call from this number today. Didn't answer. No message.THIS IS A SPOOFED PHONE NUMBER, therefore this is NOT A LEGITIMATE CALL or COMPANY.Best Not to answer it and therefore not risk getting one's information stolen or recorded and SOLD to other TELEMARKETERS/SCAMMERS/THIEVES.
Greetings from Louisville!Well apparently our fine firm of Market Research has offended many even before our ever-polite call staff can apologize. Sorry indeed, are we, that some will jump directly to profanity - not acting grown up at all. All one needs to do is say - on the phone - Sorry, I cannot perform a Market Research right now. Five seconds! Full service and field research used to be easier 20 years ago when adults acted like responsible adults. (Some of us blame the cellular phones and over-control of computerized devices for reducing the public's patience)All Management is committed to sternly upbraiding staff who are not courteous - even in the face of a populace prepared to complain before even knowing about our well-earned exemption from the DNC.If you are not charmed immediately by the honeyed words of our Paducah workers, I will be amazed. After all, we give them a few minutes to smoke, coffee, or 5-hour-energy snort Every Dang Day! Certainly, as Americans (even if we sound funny to some Northerners) our efficiency at preserving the Market System by detecting trends fads and fashions among you is a worthy Research!!Calm down and do not complain. Your numbers are all permanently in the system. There are only so many hours a day each of you can be called. Relax and sip something appropriate, put Thouroughbred Research and/or Wilkerson Associates on a phone's speakerphone and have a party with us!I remain, grandly yours,Thomas Wilkerson, Wilkerson Associates at (502) 459-3133 or (502) 753-5010
Ally, Thank you for the nice comment. I did not take it as you be whinny at all. I will do as you suggested and politely ask them to please put me on the DNC List. I was very surprised to see an ignorant comment that someone implied that you were whining. I'm sorry that happened to you. That person needs to stay away from message boards. Ty again for your suggestion.
The only thing that "Sorry, I cannot perform a Market Research right now." will get you is a call back at a later time. Why is it that we have to work so hard at not being disturbed at home by ruthless comp-dialers - research or not, we did not ask to be contacted. When I'm elected President, the first law I will pass is that no solicitation or "research" companies can contact you unless you specifically sign up for their call list. STOP BOTHERING PEOPLE THAT DON'T WANT TO BE BOTHERED!!!
Mr. Wilkerson,I'll tell you what: Why don't you post your **personal cell phone number** publicly on this forum, so that we can all start calling you at random intervals throughout the day to ask you invasive personal questions for "research purposes?" Then we can all find out what a "responsible adult" you are.You need to face the fact that, in the 21st century, your business methods are obsolete. I do not have a land line, so your "research calls" are being directed to my cell phone. Nothing like having a pesky researcher in your pocket wherever you go, day or night.
Received 3 calls from this number in the last day alone, one last night, one this morning and one about an hour ago. What? One would think NOT to try calling again if there is no answer the FIRST time. I have no idea what 'sirvey" or discussion they are doing now as it appears to be quite a few different ones over the last 4 years from horses to AARP to Medicare. Point is- if I don't recognize your number I don't answer- that's how things are in the 21st century. 20-30 years ago people answered because there was no such thing as Caller ID or display of numbers (of course 80% of the time I never answered anyway as I am deaf lol). Honestly- I am surprised that telemarketers/survey takers/poll takers are still viable jobs...
This was a legitimate call from Thoroughbred Research. They were calling to follow up on a call I had made to the gas company regarding a gas emergency. They asked me if I would voluntarily do a survey based upon the customer service I received. They were very courteous and it took only 10 or 15 minutes, and I wanted to give the feedback
