Rec'd a call from this number. I believe it was the Microsoft scam as noted in other posts. The man was of Indian descent and I had a very hard time understanding him. But I did get the gist: "something has been downloaded to your computer, are you at your computer now?" That's when I hung up.
Received a call from UNAVAILABLE 271-386-4976 at 6:38 PM on 7/20/15. I have been looking forward to playing with "tech support", so I answered. At first there was the usual telemarketer clicks, then Peter (with an accent) came on the line. I then went into freaked out/crazy mode and said to Peter, "tell me what's wrong with my computer!" I repeated it over and over again, and he hung up on me. My son really wanted to taunt the caller, but I enjoyed doing it myself!
Got a call from man with heavy Indian accent claiming to be from "Tech support" for an issue with my computer. I made no calls to anyone requesting tech support. He was very pushy and kept claiming I was Mrs. Xxx(purposelly not including my name here) which is not my full last name. Continued to push and I hung up on him.
Man with heavy Indian accent called claiming to call from Tech support. Same man called before claiming to be from a student loan debt consolidation program, same number. He is persistent and won't take no for answer. Hung up on him.
Caller said his name was 'Ricky Lee' from Global IT Support Services - in heavy Indian accent. Same story as others in this thread about 'a message our computer has been sending out for the past few weeks'. Told him it was a scam and to get a real job. I didn't realize 271 is not an assigned area code until I checked online just now. Something needs to be done to stop these scammers.

I called the Chase number on the back of my card and they said they had NOT called me, said it was scammers. I had two calls on my machine asking me to call them back.
