Never give any info of any kind to anyone calling you. If you think it could be legit hang up and call the company directly!You can make any number you want appear on the person's phone you're calling.
Got a call saying Barclays Bank. I don't have an account with them so why are they calling me? Idk if it's a scam or what but I didn't answer.
Call at 9 pm, didn't answer and no message. Cannot imagine a "bank" calling at this time in the evening. Caller ID said Barcly Bank.
Left a message saying its Barclays Don't even have an account with them. It's a cell phone calling.
Said I had an outstanding account but would not even tell me the name of the credit card without me giving them my information...sounds like a fishing outfit
an Indian accent male calling my phone from this number, telling me something regarding account with their bank, I know it is scam right the way, because I have nothing to do with this bank
I realize most of these posts are years old, but I actually got a legitimate call from Jonathan at Barclays in response to my dispute of a charge for magazine subscription. He got the guy from TME Magazines on conf call and supposedly got it taken care of with a credit within 15 days. They did not ask me for any personal information--so "fingers crossed" we will see if I get the refund.
