We receive several calls a day from ARC Thrift at 303-238-5263 and have been receiving them every weekday for at least a week or two which has become harassing! How can these calls be stopped? When I answer the phone, no one answers.
I found ARC Thrift Store on Facebook and messaged them. I told them of the harassing phone calls and that someone should look into it, why no messages are being left and no one being on the phone when I do answer. Within 20 minutes I heard back from them. This was their response "We apologize and will look into this right away. Also, can we grab your phone number so we can take you off the calling list?" My response back to them "Thank you. We do NOT wish to receive any more phone calls from ARC Thrift. If we continue to receive calls, we will stop all donations to ARC. Our # is 719-xxx-xxxx. Thank you for your assistance." We will see if we continue to receive the calls.
They called me 5 times in 3 days. I have requested numerous times to be taken off their list. I don't answer, but they keep calling month after month and it's annoying.
303-238-5263 traces to Arc Thrift Stores in Colorado, an organization that seems to have a worthwhile mission. However, calls coming from that number never leave a message, though they call frequently. There are hundreds of posts on various sites detailing telephone abuse by Arc. Contacted CEO of Arc (Lloyd Malcom Lewis: llewis@arcthrift.com), explained that many people support his organization but many people also are offended by what appears to be Arc's inconsiderate invasion of privacy. Received pretty meaningless response from the man. He refused to acknowledge the problem and instead took time to tell me about Arc's mission. I call that an F U response. I wonder how large his compensation from Arc is?
From Jan. 1, 2017 to June 5, 2017 I received 36 (thirty-six!) phone calls from this phone number. Ridiculous! I believe it is Arc Thrift (if my memory is right from last time they called a few days ago). Today, I put a block on them. I cannot believe that this company is calling me as often as they have been after I have already told them that I do not have anymore donations and to quit calling me.
Asked them to stop calling; they refuse. I now refuse to do business with them-either as a donor or as a customer. CEO is arrogant man named Lewis, total jerk-refuses to address my concerns with their harassment of many, many commenters. Hew Lewis, digging yourself a big hole. Plenty of other similar organizations to support: Goodwill, Salvation Army-you know who they are. If I were on your board I would move to dismiss you immediately for cause and nullify any employment contract you might have. Were you born stupid and arrogant or did you just learn those behaviors along the way?
