Got an email from these criminals who buy old debts and then use illegal scare tactics to trick people into paying them.

They said I needed to pay 770.00 as soon as possible or I will be taken to jsil

I just got this email from john smith telling me the same things as all the previous post.. My worries are he listed my full ssn in the email, what all should I do

LOL I got the same message-different name and phone number. I have not lived at that address listed in over 5 years. SMH

The most frustrating part of our initiative is our legal options are limited -- we have evidence of these scammers intent to commit crimes, but nothing that proves they carried the scam out. I got the same email from Senior Attorney Sean Hudson. It startled me a bit.I wanted to add that I noticed the email address: ftc.gov.usa@gmail.comYou can tell its a scam because they try to make it look legitimate with the FTC.GOV.USA. It looks like a domain name, so it could be from the FTC or GOV. However, the actual domain is GMAIL.COM. So, its just some guy with a gmail account.

I received an email from Sean Hudson today...it does have my SSN so it threw me off, but I always google/bar search people that claim to be attorneys. Glad to know this is a scam, but I don't like the fact that they have my SSN!Thanks for all your posts...very informative :)

I got the same email today. I investigated and it's a scam. They even have Gmail email set up. Any actual law office would have their own. Don't worry about it. Totally fake!
