The call came to my cell phone which is also on the "Do not call list". English was obviously not the first language of the response to my "Hello". He said "Allo. I'm from the department. I'm calling about your computer." And that's when I disconnected. He immediately called back. I did not answer and he left no message.
I had justin called from tech services for ms ** i told him to press 2, he asked why i told him so he can be deported, he told me to [***] off and hung up this has started to slow down the callers/scammers, by law they have to call the police on you if they thing you have done a crime like murder or more bloodier, they need to give all their information, they will never call the cops because they will have to explain why they think a crime is happening.... We told google scammers that if they do the website we will put their info on the site... Like they like 8yr old boys if a guy, girls if a lady... Google scammers no more calls... Too quite now.. I miss having fun with them..150 calls a day down to 10 a month.... Lets all try this -->> then you will be begging for more calls --->> not
Got a call from this number who said that my computer had been hacked and it happened several weeks ago. we told them never to call again.
Wasn't here to take call but number unkown to me.. felt it was more computer scam crooks. They must think people are awfully dumb, if I answer I tell it to them I know they are crooks, may I speak to their supervisor. Clunk goes receiver. Or I state I don't have a computer, that shuts them up fast. Telling them also I'm reporting them to the State authorities........
Look out everyone - they are at it again. Same foreign accent telling me my computer has a lot of "junk" in it and they can fix. I answered the phone only because I saw the "304" area code, was expecting a call from my daughter in that area code. So, since I already answered, had some time, so kept this nut on the line for 14 minutes, then he had to call his supervisor in when I pretended to not know how to find the "windows" button he wanted me to push. WATCH OUT EVERYONE - don't fall for this stuff. I now have blocked this number, although I am sure they have plenty more to use.
Same as "Not Scammed": Didn't recognize name, saw name change to V08120236190112, and after 3 rings, caller hung up. Why can't someone castrate these people? How are these phone numbers so easily lifted? How do we protect unsuspecting "elderly" people with computers (like my mom who recently fell for this scam)?
3047438823 called on February 23, 2016. Told him that I did not have a computer. Called me a liar, quite unprofessional. Told him to learn to speak English and he hung up. Imagine that.
They called trying to tell me I had a problem with my computer and when they discovered I had a Mac they directed me to teamviewer.com. At that point I told him I didn't want someone accessing my computer and that I would take care of it myself and hung up. I then did a search and found the following:"TeamViewer and similar services have been used to commit fraud via telephone calls. People are called, either at random or from a list, by criminals claiming to represent a computer support service which has identified the victim's computer as being infected by malware, sometimes using the name of a company such as Microsoft. They then ask the victim to give them access to their computer via a remote control service. From this point they can do anything they want. Typically they confuse the user with spurious jargon and offer to "repair" the computer and supply several years' of service for a payment; in addition to a freely offered agreed payment, this gives them the victim's payment card details. They may also infect the computer with malware, delete files, and steal files."
I hesitate to use my full name. Got a call at 8:08am from D Kenneth Brown. I ignored. Called again at 8:37am. Thought maybe a REAL Dr. so picked up. Indian accept wanting to fix my computer. I said to stop calling and take my off their list or I would report. Hung up on me.Have received similar calls from various other numbers. How do I block????
