Heavily accented man claiming to be calling from Windows maintenance. Hung up on him straight away. Well documented scam.
Scam caller, keeps calling me 2-3x a week, tells me they are from Security department of Microsoft...I told them I dont have a computer, they kept trying to tell me to do this, do that, press this key, that key. I was in the middle of a pizza and did not want to be bothered. Definitely best thing to do is hang up.
Got a call from this number 304-743-8823. Caller id Kenneth D. Brown. The person's accent was so thick that I could not understand him.
Person from this number called said I had been hacked and they needed to get into my computer. This is a scam. I knew it was and hung up. They called back again and again. Do not answer the phone when they call. And certainly do not even open your computer while on the phone with them!
I gave it to this scamming india scum today, they call me just about EVERY SINGLE DAY from different numbers. All spoof numbers. These are the SAME people who do the IRS scam, AND Rachel from credit card services.There all the same people! I know this.I told the scum the jig is up, ALL AMERICANS know who they are, what there doing.The only people there able to rip off is the elderly and the slow witted. SO, EVERYONE tell people like this, that anyone calling like this is a scam, run down the list all the scams. Then tell them they threaten, they lie, etc.Umm, okay, if you think microsoft is going to call you and that you have a virus, well, i don't know what to day...gullible a bit?
Yes there is, everyone needs to band together to STOP level3communications, vonage etc from selling india voip, these company's have there IP address's. Charges need to be made against these companies selling to scammers. There is a way to end this constant harassment!
