He was trying to work a Crieg's List scam with me. He sent a washed check for 3 X my asking price.

Please advise on my next step with these people!! WOW! I am glad that I checked the phone # and was directed to this site. I was selling ski boots on Craigslist for $200. I just received a check for $2300.89. I was to take out my $200 plus $50 for holding the item. Then the mover was to get the rest of the funds. Up until now, I was playing nice nice with them; so naive. Below is an email from Mary Palma: "Hello Thanks for the information, I will need your honest and trust to end up this transaction. I will like to know if i can trust you with my money, since the payment will be issued out soon. Please i want you to remove the Ad from CL because I'm going to start working on your payment and the payment will be made out immediately i heard from you and i'll get back to you with the tracking # so that you will know when to expect the payment, so Please i'll appreciate it if you can withdraw the Ad from Craigslist so that I can be rest assured that I’m in the hand of the item. I have a friend who will manage me a low price shipping and I assumed that I will include the shipper's funds along with your payment. So when you receive the check get your item fee and the rest goes to the Shipper so that it will be delivered directly to my house. Please i'll appreciate it if you can always reply my email so as to be assured that everything is perfect between." I just received a text from her husband, Tony. They seemed to have been in a rush to have me cash the check. Now, I think I understand. Here's the last email from Mary Palma a few minutes ago: "The rest funds is for the mover coming for the pickup.. deposit the check at your bank, keep $300 and you will remit the rest funds to the mover coming for the pick up. Text my husband"
