Got this call today, It's a man said his name is Jason Miller, and he said he called from Washington DC IRS Header Quarter Office, he said he has a badge# 233917, and emp# is 6443.He mentioned a case # and said somebody from IRS has been tried to visited your home talking about it sometime before, but you're not home.When asked if he knows any information other than my name, address and phone number, this guy hang up immediately.
I knew it was a scam, but answered anyway. Kind of funny. Student loan was the topic, and when I pressed 1 to talk to a representative, she asked for my name. I said "actually, I paid off my student loans 40 years ago..." and didn't get to say to take me off their lists.
Same here that I have a IRS lawsuit and that I need to return the call before I get arrested.
Student loan scam - I talked to the 'agent' and told her I'd paid off my loans 40 years ago, and by the time I started to say take me off your list, she had hung up.
Now it's getting funny. The Rachael cardholder services scam artists are being spoofed by the IRS frauds.
