Just got the same call on our business line at 10:56am. Dead silence and then hung up about 15 seconds. Redialed the number and get a recorded message that the line is disconnected or no longer in service. We're in Atlanta, GA
Well, they're calling us in middle Georgia, USA, on Saturday at 12:30 PM now. The CallerID says 'Out of area.' We didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message.It sounds like they are building a telemarketing database by checking to see if anyone will answer this call. They start the real scam at a later date.
same thing now in Washington state. cid gives # only. no message left on my home office phone on a weekend. IRRITATING
Called my business line and hung up after 10 seconds of silence. Seems like some sort of power dialer that is looking for people to answer the phone before following up with a real sales call.
