I won't bother answering a number I don't recognize. I read some of your posts and decided to call it. I received the same recorded message that the number was no longer in service. Twice.
Never answer numbers I don't recognize but I did this time. I answered said hello and someone responded with gagging noises and went quite and hung up.
This number called my cell last night @ 10:42 pm...I did not answer.I tried to call it back today, the number is not in service.
I received a call from this number without any voice mail; I'm in California. I think this number has called many times before as it looks too familiar. Wish these people could be stopped.
My cell phone indicated someone had called but after trying to retrieve the message, I found there was no message. Apparently the cell phone company rejected the call. So, I'm wondering if it came from someone in prison or if the cell phone company realized the telephone number was one in which people had been scammed too many times before. My cell phone company has never rejected calls. Therefore, I believe the person or organization calling was up to no good.
