I answered and they were asking to find a person who had the potential to be a family member. The person they asked for had the same last name as my maiden name. I simply told them that I didn't know them and they thanked me, said she would remove my number, and hung up politely. Since I have been married for many years and my maiden name appears on nothing anymore, I actually do think this is a debt collector (reaching from straws) and not a scam.
Requesting information about a family member saying they are from a car rental.

Ex. 108. The used my name and asked me or a family member to "please return my phone call" stating that it was about "an urgent matter." They never once identified themselves or the company they represented when calling.
Pretty sure its a scam. Unauthorized or missing vehicle from Enterprise Fleet Service. Thing is my son has no credit card. How could he rent a car?

I got a call from Emily Reid. I thought it was a scam as well but turns out she was trying to get a hold of me cuz of my brother. He rented a car and never returned it. What got me to stay on the phone with her is she made it clear shes not asking for money. This people helped my brother to not face some jail time. There was a mistake from the stupid branch.
"Good morning, my name is Ramey. I am looking for friends of Jessica Johnson or Jessica Ashetti.....I would like to help, call extension 302...." This is a paraphrase of the call. Sounds dangerous to me.

Claim to be discover card. I don't have that disreputable card and haven't had one for 20 years, so they have no reason to call me. Very suspicious.
