It's express scripts. Not a scam, just pushy sales from a vendor my company uses for perscriptions. I don't use them and they won't leave me alone.
It is Express Script about prescription coverage. They did call me before about a prescription I have. I usually don't answer, but my mom is in the hospital right now and I wasn't sure if it was about her (and I forgot that she has Caremark). The odd thing about the call is that they said they were calling about my plan via "Mountain View Blue Cross" ... and I don't have that. They did have the name of my employer right (although he only said the first 2 words of it), so I'm not sure if this was a legit call or not. I told him we were changing coverage December 1st, and so he said what he had to say about benefits probably wouldn't matter to me since we were changing.
To answer part of what you said - I looked up the number here before answering to see if it maybe was a scam call. I don't keep all of the numbers of my providers in my contacts list, so I didn't know it was Express Script till I answered. However, if I would've looked here and posts would've been about the fake Microsoft calls, I wouldn't answer the call. I have a relationship with Express Script and so I answered the call. Whether it was really them or not, still not sure, and I described the conversation in my comment below.
Okay. I'm going out on a limb here.......I don't know who this company is......but scrolling down further than the numerous complaint websites for phone calls search on a search engine, i found this below statement on Highmarkhealth.org and it appears to be pretty legit (is anything ever legit anymore?) Check out the mention of express scripts. By the way.....they have a LOT more phone numbers and info on their cyber security alerts than just this. Try it for yourself. I found no info on the express scripts site but didn't dig and dig. Maybe you need an account to do this. This is very frustrating. Please don't give out info over the phone. Call the number back (the one on your card or the official web-site of ANYONE who calls you if you want to call them back...... Even if they have convincing information. NOT the one that called. As of today - this is what it says at high mark."Alert Oct. 21, 2016:Phone calls not affiliated with Highmark HealthWe have reports of scam callers claiming to be from Highmark or Express Scripts offering members medications and experimental pain creams. These phone calls are not from Highmark Health or any of its diversified businesses. If you receive a phone call from any of the following numbers, please do not answer questions and hang up immediately:267-396-1072314-888-6251845-940-7971If you have any questions, contact us or call the member service number on the back of your Member ID card."Now do any of those numbers look familiar? 314-888-6251 perhaps? Look just in case this isn't clear enough.......trust no one. People have your information. You (and I) are all over google and it can be taken out of context, a lie, made up, true, twisted, manipulated. It's a lot of info about us. People are making money legally and illegally selling stalkers, mentally ill people, hackers, robbers, spammers, spoofers, con artists......your info. None of us are getting off the radar......you vote, your address is published. You buy something your info is published. Companies are hacked and your info sold and used. Gee, just look at the election news......and it's not getting any better, it's getting worse. I'm scared to even "anonymously" post on here. That stinks.
This is Express Scripts who provides medications by mail. I have been using their service for several years.
They called multiple times, never leaving a message. Turns out to be a reap person from Express Scripts with a legitimate business call (at least from their perspective). I am not sure why they couldn't just leave a message instead of calling and hanging up multiple times in one week.
CID shows Express Scripts. A live person was on the phone. She talked very fast and was asking for personal information. When we said we don't give out personal info, she hung up. We called ES on their toll free number they said someone did call. They were wanting us to use their mail order services instead of the local pharmacy. Scammers are making it harder to do business with legit companies. ES cannot give information to verify who they are calling and it's not safe to give out personal info to a blind caller because you cannot be sure who they are. Scammers can make any ID or number appear on your CID.
